The Junction, a community advice and drop-in centre, is part of The King’s Cross Church located in a converted Public House between 5 – 10 minutes’ walk from the main church premises. It provides a safe environment for people from the wider community to meet together and to access various forms of help and advice as well as gain friendship and support. Various activities such as Cook and Eat are undertaken together, and we also offer computer lessons and ESOL. The Junction is open from 10am to 4pm each weekday, and is staffed by a team of able and willing volunteers from the church as well as a full-time manager.
There are three one-bedroomed flats attached to the property, which provide accommodation to people from the local area.
Lunchtime services (12.30pm) are held at The Junction each Tuesday, as well as occasional evening celebration services. We offer Christian love and support, and are happy to pray with, and for, people.
Everyone is welcome at The Junction, whether they are simply calling in for advice or a hot drink, or whether they visit on a regular basis. The drop-in is located at 28 Hexthorpe Road, DN4 0GB, with ESOL lessons and other activities taking place at our premises at 61 Hexthorpe Road.
